Here is a re-coloring tutorial:

We have GCN Mario Circuit Color code (By Yoshiteam)

Here is the code:

023cdcd8 00000002

020484a0 d0002a00

020484a4 e0052321

021db4a4 00000300

b23c4ef8 00000000

10001440 0000001f

1000184c 000003ff

1000193c 00001cf9

10004090 00001cf9

10006190 0000b000

10006300 0000b000

10006404 0000b000

100068c8 00000f00

10006420 00000f00

1000649c 00000f00

100066ec 00000f00

10006748 00000f00

10006860 00000f00

10006a90 00000f00

10006b48 00000f00

10006c48 00000f00

10006d6c 00000f00

10007344 00000f00

d2000000 00000000

Note: Addresses that start with '1000XXXX' are color modifiers. So you can obviously tell that this code modifies color, not texture.

Here is a screenshot of the code in use:

The road is green. If you want to modify the color (This works for ANY part of the course, not just the road) then look at the code. Compare the values (The YYYYYYYY part of the code XXXXXXXX YYYYYYYY) to this list of colors:

Blue = 00007c00

Ice Blue = 00007f50

Light Blue = 00007f80

Light Purple = 00005555

Purple = 00006c70

Orange = 0000025f

Pale Green = 00001149

Very Light Grey = 00006739

Lighter Grey = 00004a52

Grey = 00004631

Medium Grey = 00002d6b

Dark Grey = 00002529

Very Dark Grey = 00000c63

Near Black Grey = 00000842

White = 00007fff

Hot Pink = 00001cdc

Black = 00000000

Brown = 0000010f

Dark Brown = 000004ec

Very Dark Brown = 000004a8

Light Brown = 0000114d

Red = 0000001f

Red/Orange = 000000ff

Dark Red = 00000010

Slightly Brighter Red = 000010bf

Light Red = 00001cf9

Yellow = 000003ff

Slightly Different Yellow = 000007fc

Green = 00000f00

Light Green 000007ec

Very Dark Green = 00000040

Dark Green = 00000100

Very Dark Blue = 00001000

Dark Blue = 0000b000

In the list, you should see that  Green = 00000f00. Look at the code. Where do you see the values '00000f00'? When you find them, replace them with another color value to change the color of the road. Try doing this on your own with other parts of the course, until your good at it, then try making your own color hacks for different courses!

Note: You can do this to any course, just make sure that the code your modifying has '1000XXXX' not '0000XXXX'. You will epically fail if you try to color texture addresses.

I hope this tutorial helped!

U made a texture tutorial, not a color one. Even my sister can do it! I'll post the texture hack and video she made.

Here's a fun trivia fact. I made Iceberg Island, my first color hack, less than an hour after I had originally discovered Dave's codes. And I did make a color tutorial a while ago, but it's probably really hard to find because I don't think it's its own topic.

Yeah I think there's a pattern, although its kind of tricky to figure out.

if i remember corectly on most colors you change for example.

00f0  (orange red)  you have to skip every other number.

00d0 is slitly darker.

00a0

0080

and when you get to

0020 it gets really dark red.

same applys to 0100  and 1000  just skip every other number
